Our promise, and what enforces it
When you send a request, three things are true, and each is enforced by how the service is built rather than by good intentions. This page states them, says what stands behind each, and says what we do not promise.

The three promises

A person reads every request
Before anything is shared, someone on our team reads the request and checks that the company serves your ZIP code, does your kind of job, and is taking on work. If nobody fits, we tell you and your details go nowhere. The checks are listed on the matching page.
What a company must have before it can receive a request
- A current agreement with us. If we suspend it, requests stop at once.
- A contact we have checked, so your request reaches a person.
- A stated service area, by ZIP code, and stated job types and sizes.
- For plumbing, electrical, HVAC and roofing: a trade licence on file that we have checked.
- Room for the work: a company that has reached its monthly limit is skipped.
What we do not promise
- We do not promise the lowest price. We do not compare prices; the price of the work is between you and the company.
- We do not call any company the best. We say it fits your job.
- We do not promise a company in every city for every service. When we have nobody, we say so.
- We do not do the work. Any contract is between you and the company.
If something goes wrong
Use the status link from your confirmation email, or write to hello@citypreferred.com with your reference. A person answers. To have your request corrected or deleted, the same address.
